The soundboard wood on this ukulele is very special. Reclaimed timber, like the Dark Forest Cypress, are natural fallen, meaning no living tree was cut down. This material comes from logs lost more than century ago in transport. This wood was in a marsh for hundreds of years and now it makes this gorgeous instrument.
The ingenuity on this tenor is one-of-a-kind. The handmade tailpiece, pickguard, floating bridge, and tuning keys are made with beautiful ziricote. A crosscut of walnut branches is used for the fingerboard inlays. The inlay at the headstock is a pine cone, just amazing materials, creativity, and top notch craftsmanship made this work of musical art.
The tuners are Gotoh 510 18:1 gear ratio with hand made custom ziricote buttons Ray made. This gives the smoothest experience when tuning. It also has carbon fiber reinforcement in the neck to ensure excellent playability over time and includes strap buttons for easy holding.
All of these features and more make for a one of a kind custom tenor like we've never seen. This is as cool as it gets and we think you'll love it!
Shell back tenor handcrafted by Ray Vincent 2024-11-15. This instrument has a floating bridge so be sure to change strings one at a time. Tie a triple knot on one end and slide it through the tailpiece.
